Why I’m Here

Holy Spirit, I thank you that every single person reading this post is blessed, prosperous, and fulfilled in their life. I praise You for leading me to this space, to express my heart, my experiences with you, and my love for others. I thank you for blessing every person that crosses this page, and for leading them into deeper relationship with you. Holy Spirit, have your way with this site. Let it be a space that Your words flow freely through my fingers, and that Your voice speaks louder than the world around us. I praise you for the mama’s that are seeking to raise their babies differently, to utilize the gifts that You have placed in them individually, and to give them peace in their hardest moments. Bless them for choosing the route less taken, and for loving them where they are in this very present moment. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Hi, I’m Abbey, and if you’re like me, you’re a mom (or dad) who is looking for a better way to raise your children. A way that isn’t filled with reading multiple baby books, running to the pediatrician’s office every time your kid sneezes, and looking for the wine the minute they’re tucked into bed. A way that is Spirit Led, Spirit Filled, and Spirit Inhabited. If you’re like me, you’re seeking a way to incorporate the Holy Ghost within you into every part of your mom duty-filled day, along with loving your child the way God first loved us. This blog was birthed out of these longings, and the hope that some mom (or dad) out there, is blessed by my experiences and journey thus far.

If you’re still reading at this point, I’ll tell you a little about the content I’ll be posting here. I created this blog over two months ago and built it all the way to the point of actually posting the first content. Then, I froze. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to put here. I didn’t know how to even start. And that stage fright left me wondering if this was what the Lord was calling me to. But, after spending the last two weeks dedicating at least 15 minutes a day (more about this in posts to come), the Lord reminded me of this blog, and reminded me of the need arising for strong, Spirit filled, Spirit led moms to be flooding the worldly blog market with Truth. So, if you’re interested in hearing about how this mom decided to start doing things differently, stay tuned. I’ll be posting weekly (as both a personal challenge, and as a result of my time in the secret place) with hopes of bringing some hope and some encouragement to your day to day life.

May God bless and keep you, mama’s–you’re the reason I’m here.
